JAKARTA (July 3, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini launched an innovative tool for persons with disabilities in the form of Deaf and Speech Bracelets (Gruwi), which took place in the Main Meeting Room of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Central Jakarta.

Minister of Social Affairs Risma hopes that with this innovative product, people with hearing and speech disabilities can avoid danger, natural disasters, and acts of crime. This Gruwi bracelet features a vibration sensor to indicate that there is an object moving around, and an emergency button to call for help in case of danger. The Minister of Social Affairs handed over 6 (six) Gruwis to 5 (five) persons with disabilities beneficiaries of the Bogor Inten Soeweno Integrated Center (STIS) and 1 (one) Gruwi to the Chairperson of the National Commission on Disabilities (KND) Dante Rigmalia. Later, more Gruwi will be produced through 31 Centers/Integrated Centers and 6 Ministry of Social Affairs Centers throughout Indonesia, in line with the progress of the patent and copyright process for this innovative product at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Royani and the Primary High Leaders within the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
