JAKARTA (August 10, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini launched the innovation Grahita Disability Bracelet (GRITA) at the Aneka Bhakti Building, Jakarta.

This bracelet was launched as an Early Warning System for preventing situations that could harm people with mental retardation by utilizing the user's pulse/heart. And it will be active if the heart rate is above the limit indicating an emergency situation for the user so that he can get help from the surrounding environment.

It was given symbolically to several recipients including the Soeweno Cibinong Integrated Center for Intensification, Magelang Antasena Center, the Temanggung Kartini Integrated Center, the Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Integrated Center, the Jakarta Handayani Center, the Phalamarta Sukabumi Center, the Abhiyoso Center, Prof.Dr. Soeharso Surakarta, Sentra Mulyajaya Jakarta, and Sentra Margo Laras Pati.

The event was attended by the Chairperson of the National Commission on Disabilities, Dante Rigmalia, Special Advisors of the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Expert Advisors of the Minister of Social Affairs, the Acting Secretary General Robben Rico, Director General of Social Rehabilitation Pepen Nazarudin, the Acting Director General of Social Empowerment Beni Sujanto, the Acting Inspector General Dody Sukmono, Head of the Integrated Center Inten Soeweno M.O. Royani, and Echelon II Officials along with Heads of Centers/Integrated Centers/Great Halls within the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
