YAPEN (May 30, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini paid a working visit to Yapen Islands Regency, Papua Province. During his visit, the Minister of Social Affairs provided assistance with facilities and infrastructure as well as empowerment stimulant assistance for 500 Beneficiaries (PM) in Yapen Islands Regency. The aid consisted of 100 solar-powered street lights (PJUTS), 3 bagan boats, 5 fiber boats, 1,000 pigs, 1,000 pairs of daily clothes, 1 seaweed dryer, and 40 packages of seaweed farming tools.

The visit was also attended by the Chairman of the DPRD Yapen Islands Yohanes Raubaba, Special Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs (SKM) for Communication and Mass Media Don Rozano Sigit Parakoeswa, SKM of the Social Welfare Services and Potential Resources for Social Welfare Luhur Budijarso Lulu, SKM of the Social Rehabilitation Benhur Tomi Mano, Acting Director General of Social Rehabilitation as well as Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Beni Sujanto, Acting Director of Empowerment of Remote Indigenous Communities and Social Entrepreneurship I Ketut Supena, Head of BBPPKS Jayapura John Herman Mampioper, Team of the Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITS), Acting Regent Yapen Islands Cyfrianus Mambay, Head of Forkompimda, Chair of GKI Klasis Mrs. Pdt. Maria Mayor and Deputy Chairman 1 of the Synod Pdt. H. Rollo. Both facilities and infrastructure assistance as well as empowerment stimulant assistance will be handed over to Forkopimda Yapen Islands Regency and South Yapen Class GKI.
