JAKARTA (January 10, 2024) - Representing the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Robben Rico attended the activity of Providing Compensation to Victims of Atypical Progressive Acute Kidney Failure (GGAPA) in Children in the Heritage Room of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Wednesday afternoon.

Compensation is provided of IDR 50,000,000 (fifty million rupiah) for victims of atypical progressive acute kidney failure who have died. Meanwhile, victims of atypical progressive acute kidney failure who have recovered/are still undergoing the medical treatment/rehabilitation process are given compensation of IDR 60,000,000 with details of IDR 50,000,000 for assistance and IDR10,000,000 for transportation costs for the medical treatment/rehabilitation process.

Initially, based on data from the Ministry of Health dated September 26, 2023, the number of GGAPA victims was recorded as 326 children, both those who had been cured and those who had died. However, after verification and validation, there were 312 valid victims, with details of 218 victims who died and 94 victims recovered/outpatient, so the total aid distributed was IDR16,540,000,000. This change in number was caused by the discovery of duplicate data and was not a victim of GGAPA.

Also present were the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendi, the Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and the Acting Head of BPOM Rizka Andalusia.
