SERANG (October 15th, 2019) - "Abiyoso" Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) Cimahi conducts Technical Guidance (Bimtek) reading and writing Braille for People with Blind Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) followed by 15 PDSN in Serang Regency, Banten Province.

The technical guidance activities were carried out by the "Abiyoso" BLBI Team in Serang Regency Social Service Meeting Room on October 14-19, 2019.

Secretary of the Serang Regency Social Service, Alpedi in his opening remarks accompanied by the Head of Social Rehabilitation, Mustofa expressed his gratitude to BLBI "Abiyoso" Cimahi for giving the opportunity to the community especially the PDSN to learn reading and writing Braille and the hope for the participants to follow the opportunity this as well as possible so that it is beneficial for the development and empowerment of the PDSN itself.

While the Head of the Technical Guidance and Literacy Services Section of the Braille BLBI "Abiyoso" Amin Suaedi said that efforts to eradicate Braille illiteracy and the equalization of this technical guidance service need to be carried out continuously throughout Indonesia as the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016 about Persons with Disabilities especially PDSN.

“Abiyoso "BLBI" Cimahi as the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia is a Braille Literacy management institution in Indonesia that has a great responsibility in fulfilling the equal rights for PDSN in obtaining information and reading material for PDSN empowerment," concluded Amin.
