MASAMBA (September 13, 2019) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (BRSPDSN) "Tumou Tou" Manado held a Family Support activity for People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) in North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. The activity was attended by 30 PDSNs and their families and took place from 11 to 13 September 2019.

Head of Sub-Division of Administration of BRSPDSN "Tumou Tou" Manado, Sutrisno as the activity coordinator explained that this activity aims to maximize the role of families in the care of PDSN.

"This Family Support also plays a role as a socialization medium for the New Platform 5.0 Social Rehabilitation Program (Progres) which is being run by the Ministry of Social Affairs," Sutrisno explained.

The material presented in Family Support included the characteristics of PDSN, care for PDSN in the family, and improvement of PDSN's ability in social life.

On the same occasion, the Assistant of Economy and Development of the North Luwu Regency Government, Bunamin Dannu who represented the North Luwu Regent expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for holding a Family Support activity for people with special needs in North Luwu.

"The family is the main key in the care and care of PDSN. Therefore we hope that families who receive training can practice a variety of knowledge gained in this activity," Bunamin said.
