MANADO (August 27, 2019) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Visual Sensory Disabilities (BRSPDSN) "Tumou Tou" in Manado organized the Social Rehabilitation Program for the Development of Functional Development of People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) in the District of Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi.
This event was held for three days, 22 to 24 August 2019 and was attended by 20 people with visual sensory disabilities from the Social Welfare Institution of Persons with Visual Sensory Disabilities of the Indonesian Blind Union (Pertuni) and the Indonesian Muslim Blind Association (ITMI)
Head of the Social Assessment and Advocacy Section BRSPDSN "Tumou Tou" in Manado, Baharuddin, as the coordinator of the activity stated that this activity aims to improve the abilities of people with blind sensory disabilities so that they are able to innovate in working in the community.
On this occasion the Head of the Social Service District of Polewali Mandar provided motivation to the participants and conveyed the programs of the Social Service in empowering people with disabilities. The material provided in this activity was Shiatsu massage, making pots from used towels and how to market them, as well as the socialization of the 5.0 New Platform Social Rehabilitation Program.
At the end of the activity, participants were given social assistance to develop a business that they currently have.
