BANDUNG (November 4, 2023) — The "Handayani" Center is currently developing its Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). For four days, beginning November 1, 2023, this work has focused on SOP for the children’s group, the disability group, and the Atensi Creative Center (SKA) group which took place at the "Wyata Guna" Center in Bandung, with participation from 31 employees.
The Head of “Handayani” Center, Romal Sinaga, said the preparation of SOPs aims to maintain and improve the quality of service as the structured and systematic services will help the handling of Beneficiaries (PM) on target and appropriately address their needs."The SOP will provide a standardized approach, reducing the risk of errors and creating a structured service mechanism," Romal said.
This SOP development is also part of Romal Sinaga's change initiative as Head of the "Handayani" Center. Notably, services for child victims of radicalism, a unique offering of the "Handayani" Center, have lacked a detailed SOP until now. This session provided an opportunity to outline a comprehensive SOP for supporting these children—from admission to reintegration—especially given the government’s plans to repatriate Indonesian children from Syrian camps soon.
The SOPs will undergo further review and refinement with input from relevant experts, and a dedicated team will finalize them before standardization by the Head of the Center.
In addition, the SOP development will continue until all service groups have updated or created their SOPs. Employee engagement has been high as they ensure the timely completion of the SOPs within the designated period.
