TEMANGGUNG (6 March 2024)  –- After the replication lesson of Baris Ditebas (Barista with Disabilities Breaks Through the Stigma of Limitation) held in Wyata Guna Center in Bandung on Wednesday, February 27th, 2024, was completed, today continues with replication lesson of Care Sheltered Workshop (SWP) developed by Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung.

In 2024, Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms (PANRB) aimed at innovation development through replication and scaling up.  Various accompaniment and facilitation were done by the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms as a means to reinforce continuous innovations, one of them being in Ministry of Social Affairs environment. 

Deputy Assistant of Coordination and Facilitation of Development Strategy of Public Service Best Practice of Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms Ajib Rakhmawanto said that Ministry of Social Affairs has got many awards in Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP) from 2014 until 2023. Knowing the potential, Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms provided accompaniment and facilitation to encourage the acceleration of replication within the Ministry of Social Affairs work units as part of improving public services. 

“We want to gain information on the strategy of innovation development within Ministry of Social Affairs environment, including innovation’s creation, development, and institutionalization,” Ajib said after directly reviewing the innovation displayed in the sideyard of Kartini Integrated Center’s Hall. 

Ajib explained that replication was an aspect of innovation diffusion of innovation information to units or other institutions to expand the benefit of innovation and to have an impact on the accelerated improvement of public services.

He said that MoSA always actively sent its best innovations to compete in Public Service Innovation Competition held by Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform. The innovations submitted by MoSA were always included in Top Innovation 45 and 99. There were 11 innovations submitted annually. Therefore, Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform learned about MoSA’s innovations to make it replication and scale up program in another unit.

“For the follow-up, we are ready to facilitate the replication program that will be done by MoSA. Thus, the innovation will not stop in one unit, but it can be developed and disseminated to other units,” Ajib adds.

In his speech, Rachmat Koesnadi, Director of Social Rehabilitation of Disaster Victims and Emergency expressed his gratitude for the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform’s trust which has been willing to facilitate MoSA for the replication learning.

“Thank you and I hope that the replication will be implemented in all over Integrated Centers and Centers, so that the innovation can be better than before,” Rachmat hoped.

As an innovator, the head of Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung, Iyan Kusumadiana said that on the occasion, some Care Sheltered Workshops coached by Kartini Integrated Center were presented on the event. Two of them were Rumah Kinasih from Blitar, East Java, and Batik Barokah from Wonogiri, Central Java who delivered their testimonials directly.

The event was attended by 30 Technical Implementation Units (UPT) in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and invitation for CSR that supports Care Sheltered Workshops coached by Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung.
