TABALONG (December 14, 2019) – The Ministry of Social Affairs released the Social Solidarity Cross Border expedition team, in Tabalong Regency, today. The Social Solidarity Cross Border activity was one of the activities before the main event of National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) on 20 December 2019.
The Kick off release of expedition team Stage I was done by Director General of Social Empowerment Pepen Nazaruddin, representing the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara, together with the Regent of Tabalong, Anang Syakhfiani in the Regent of Tabalong office’s Yard, Saturday (14/12/2019).
In the Director General’s speech, the Minister stated that Social Solidarity Cross Border Team strategically offered greets, sympathy, and empathy to the public. From this activity, said the Minister, it hoped that the social solidarity could be built between the public components.
“Therefore, the Social Solidarity Cross Border activity is addressed to the public, especially for those who need the social service,” said the Minister.
The goal of this activity was to conserve the social solidarity values through outreach by sending the expedition both through the land and the river. “The vehicle expedition team distributes many assistances by crossing many areas in South Kalimantan,” said the Minister.
The Social Affairs Minister stated that, in 2019, we were faced on many challenges, such as natural disaster and social disaster, came in turn. “However, we must keep spirit and optimist. All the challenges can be faced by keeping good thought to the God,” said the Minister.
Faced many challenges, the Minister persuaded every stakeholder to not stop praying along with our faith as the God-oriented nation.
“Other than genuine and surrender, we must try as hard as we can. We muster thought, planning, strategy, and network to reduce our brothers and sisters’ burden when facing against problems,” said the Minister.
In the same opportunity, Director General Pepen Nazaruddin stated his appreciation toward the innovation which Tabalong Regency had done. According to Pepen, as the receiver of Satya Lencana Kebaktian Sosial Achievement, the Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani was not a foreign name in the Ministry of Social Affairs.
“The Ministry of Social Affairs agree with Local Government of Tabalong that the development is not meant as economic development only, but also has implication to the improvement of social development,” said Pepen.
About Social Solidarity Cross Border
The Social Solidarity Cross Border of 2019 took the theme “Social Solidarity Cross Border Across Banua Move!!!” along with the slogan from the Provincial of South Kalimantan, which was BERGERAK (Fight to Cheer Up the People). The expedition team of Social Solidarity Cross Border Across Banua Move went through six stages by relay started from the 14 December until 19 December 2019 with the route: the Regency of Tabalong, Balangan, Hulu Sungai Selatan, Tapin, Banjar, and ended the journey in Banjarmasin City, Thursday, 19 December 2019.
In every stage, there were several agendas which was welcoming the Social Solidarity Cross Border Team by the local government, then handover the National Social Solidarity Banner from the team leader to the local government as sign for the start of the activity in this location. In the night, there was an educational movie screening from Social Counseling Center of The Ministry of Social Affairs Republic of Indonesia.
Onto the next day, the Social Service were held, with the representation of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the local government’s arrays attended in the event. At there, the assistance and social activity were distributed at there.
Special for Stage V which was in Banjar Regency, there was River Cross Walk activity were scheduled. At the end session, it was marked by releasing the Social Solidarity Cross Border Team by the local government toward the next stage. This team consisted of the combination between the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Social Solidarity Day 2019’s Central Committee and several MoSA’s partners.
