BOGOR (19 August 2020) - Ministry of Social Affairs continues to encourage the spirit of sharing and caring to others, reaching out to groups of people who are vulnerable due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which is also not over.

A total of 2,000 packages of social assistance to the MoSA Presents were symbolically handed over by Dharma Wanita Advisor for the Ministry of Social Affairs Grace Batubara to residents of Bogor in two locations, namely Tenjo District for 1,000 packages and Parung Panjang District for 1,000 packages.

Grace Batubara said that the central government is constantly help people to face Covid-19 pandemic.

"Currently the whole world is experiencing the same thing. This pandemic has had a tremendous impact on social and economic conditions. For this reason, we come to help the community, provide food for those who have not received assistance. Hopefully this can relieve you during the pandemic", said Grace Batubara.

The arrival of Grace Batubara and the entourage at RT 06/03, Tenjo Village, Tenjo District, was greeted by representatives of the Head of Tenjo Sub-district, Subadri, and expressed their gratitude.

"On behalf of the residents of Tenjo Subdistrict, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for your attention. We will distribute this assistance to residents of Tenjo Village in 4 RWs and 24 RTs", said Subadri. 

Mumun, a vegetable trader, smiled happily when symbolically receive basic food packages from Grace Batubara.

"Now those who sell vegetables are many but there only a few buyers, they sell 20 thousand, 30 thousand each day, sometimes we don't get any. Thank you very much for your help, we can use it for a week at home", said Mumun.

Grace Batubara's brief visit and his entourage also have a deep meaning for Sunata and his wife. Sunata is a casual daily laborer frames, doors and windows.

"This is the first time we got this social assistance during this Corona virus. Alhamdulillah we are grateful. Hopefully the Minister and his team will always be healthy and have a long life," said Sunata and his wife.

One of Grace Batubara's concerns is the figure of Halimah, a former TKW who has mental disorders. For Halimah, 3 million rupiah of cash assistance was given, clothing and toiletries assistance, and assistance to make a family card.

TKSK Tenjo Subdistrict, Sumiati, is also actively involved in conducting assessments, confirming identity and coordinating with the village to make a Domicile Certificate for Halimah, in order to facilitate access to her health services.

Not stopping there, Grace Batubara and her entourage then headed to SMK Bina Putra Mandiri, Parung Panjang District and were warmly welcomed by the Head of Parung Panjang Sub-district, Icang Aliudin.

"Welcome to Parung Panjang. Our community will be greatly helped by the assistance of the Ministry of Social Affairs. This basic food is planned to be provided to parents of Bina Putra Mandiri Vocational School students, residents around SMK and event organizers in the field of promotion, stage and exhibition around Parung Panjang District which is currently falling. due to the pandemic, "said Icang Aliudin.
