The revocation was stated in the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 133/HUK/2022 dated July 5, 2022 regarding the revocation of the permit for the collection of donations to the ACT Foundation in South Jakarta which was signed by the Minister of Social Affairs Ad Interim Muhadjir Effendi, Tuesday (5/7).
"So, the reason we revoke it is because there are indications of violations of the Minister of Social Affairs Regulation until later waiting for the results of the inspection from the Inspectorate General, then there will be further sanctions provisions," said Ad Interim Social Minister Muhadjir Effendi at the Ministry of Social Affairs office, Tuesday (5/7). ).
Based on the provisions of Article 6 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 29 of 1980 concerning the Implementation of Collection of Donations, it saids "Financing for the business entity from collecting donations is a maximum of 10% (ten percent) of the results of the collection of donations concerned".
Meanwhile, based on the clarification, ACT President Ibn Khajar said that an average of 13.7% of the funds collected from the community were used as operational funds for the foundation. The figure of 13.7% is not in accordance with the provisions of the maximum limit of 10%. Meanwhile, the Disaster Charity is all distributed to the community without any operational costs from the funds collected.
Furthermore, Muhadjir said that the government is responsive to things that have disturbed the community and will further investigate the permits that have been given to other foundations and to provide a deterrent effect so that it will not happen again.
On Tuesday (5/7), the Ministry of Social Affairs has invited the management of the ACT Foundation, which was attended by ACT President Ibnu Khajar and the foundation's administrators to provide clarifications and explanations related to the news that developed in the community.
