JAKARTA (February 26, 2020) - Directorate of Social Empowerment of Individuals, Families and Public Institutions Ministry of Social Affairs organizes SLRT Exit Strategy (Integrated Referral Service System) and Puskesos (Social Welfare Center) Growth Year 2018 at Holiday Inn and Suite Hotel, Jakarta.

The SLRT Exit Strategy activity was officially opened by Director General of Social Empowerment Pepen Nazaruddin, and was attended by Social Services and Regional Planning Agency who had SLRT and Puskesos services from 60 districts / cities growth in 2018 as many as 140 people and participants from central government.

In his speech, Director General of Social Empowerment said that SLRT could become a place for complaints so that the regions had a system to accommodate the complaints on social problems. SRLT is a chain for the government to know the condition of its people, and as a forum for regions to be able to serve their communities through SLRT.

"From 2016 until now, the Ministry of Social Affairs has grown SLRT in 150 districts / cities, which is in 2016 was grown in 50 districts / cities, in 2017 in 20 districts / cities, in 2018 in 60 districts / cities and in 2019 in 20 districts / cities. In 2020, there will be 190 districts / cities planned to grow and gradually will be built in all districts / cities until the end of 2024 "said Pepen.

The growing number of SLRTs shows a strong commitment from the Ministry of Social Affairs to synergize with the Regional Government to accelerate poverty reduction through synergy and integration from various social protection and poverty reduction programs. The existence of SLRT and Puskesos is expected to be a strong foundation as one-door social service system and it has to be more comprehensive, while ensuring that public services to the community including social welfare services can be carried out on target, fast, responsive and integrated.

During the growth of SLRT and Puskesos, the Directorate General of Social Empowerment along with local governments that have SLRT are committed to increase the service of SLRT by discussing the strategy for its sustainabality.

Through Exit Strategy, the Director General of Social Empowerment hopes that organizers in the regions can obtain information on the development and challenges in implementing SLRT and Puskesos growth in 2018, exchanging experiences and learning of SLRT and Puskesos between regions; and increasing the capacity of SLRT and Puskesos providers, and preparing exit strategy plans to ensure the sustainability of SLRT.

Director of Social Empowerment of Individuals, Families, and Public Institution Bambang Mulyadi conveyed on his report that this activity aim to obtain information on the development and challenges of implementing SLRT and Puskesos, facilitating the exchange of experience and learning of SLRT and Puskesos development between regions, and increasing the capacity of SLRT and Puskesos organizers and preparing exit strategy plans to ensure the sustainability of SLRT .

"The Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, especially in the Directorate of PSPKKM, is committed to involving and strengthening the province in the implementation of SLRT, because this SLRT is one of the systems for people who need social services," said Bambang.
