WEST MANGGARAI (27 November 2020) - Ministry of Social Affairs continues to distribute social assistance to the people of Indonesia. For the western, central and eastern regions of Indonesia.

This time, Dharma Wanita Advisor Grace Batubara visited Batu Cermin Village, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.

"The activities we are doing this morning are social activities, special humanitarian activities specifically for the people of West Manggarai. This morning, various kinds of aid were distributed. Hopefully it can help to ease the burden on people here,” explained Grace Batubara.

A total of 100 basic food packages were distributed to residents of Remote Indigenous Communities in the Location of Watu Waja Village, Lembor Selatan District, Kab. West Manggarai, NTT.

Grace Batubara along with Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kemensos committee also handed over the Ministry of Social Affairs assistance in the form of 2,059 basic food packages worth Rp. 411,800,000 through the Caritas Ruteng Pastoral Center for residents in Manggarai Regency and West Manggarai Regency in the context of handling COVID-19.

All of this assistance is proof that the Ministry of Social Affairs is present for communities throughout Indonesia. This assistance is given to those who really need and are affected by Covid.

After that, Grace Batubara and her group visited Liang Ndara Tourism Village. This visit aims to witness the culture, arts, and crafts in Liang Ndara Village.

Grace Batubara took the time to see the weaving craftsmen and weavers of pandanus leaf handicrafts from PKK women in Liang Ndara Village.

Also attending the visit were the Director of PSDBS, Ms. Oom Edi Suharto, Mrs. Eka Hotman, Mrs. Nelly Bambang Sugeng, and Mrs. Betty La Ode Taufik.
