YOGYAKARTA (June 26, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives conducted a Specific Working Visit in Yogyakarta Province at the Social Service Office of Yogyakarta Province. The working visit is to supervise the implementation of the poverty alleviation acceleration program.
Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives Moekhlas Sidik and the team symbolically handed over nutrition package assistance for 421 people worth Rp89 million, PKH Phase II assistance for 203,473 KPM worth Rp156.4 billion, May-June basic food assistance for 340,348 KPM worth Rp148.4 billion, ATENSI assistance for entrepreneurship for 9 people worth Rp62 million, accessibility assistance (disability aids) for 45 people worth Rp153 million. The total value of assistance is Rp305.1 billion.
Members of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives also reviewed the process of distributing BPNT Basic Food Assistance to 10 KPM recipients of the May-June distribution of Basic Food Assistance through Bank Himbara BNI amounting to Rp400 thousand.
"So, Rp200 thousand per month, here he withdraws the balance of Rp400 thousand. It means that it can be taken immediately," said My Esti Wijayati, Member of Commission VIII DPR RI.
Sismadi Sinempat Wahono (59 years old) Kota Gede Subdistrict, one of the beneficiaries of basic food assistance said that he was very happy and helped by the existence of basic food assistance, his daily life as a tailor can now fulfill his daily basic needs.
"Every day is uncertain, sometimes Rp50 thousand a day, even sometimes there is no a single order. This assistance is very useful for daily needs. I'm very happy that I can help my family," said Mr. Sismadi.
Another case with Mrs. Ribut Sri Untari (40 years old) Sambirejo Village Prenggan Kota Gede said that her daily life as a housewife was fulfilled with the basic food assistance.
"My husband works as a construction worker. Alhamdulillah, it is very useful for daily and additional needs. I am very happy. I spend on basic needs such as rice, eggs and vegetables," said Sri.
The Specific Working Visit was followed by a cross-sectoral discussion of related ministries / agencies to discuss strategic issues and absorb aspirations, recommendations or solutive policies for the government and society.
