SERANG (December 6th 2019) - Banten Province is determined to increase the number of Graduation KPM in 2020. Graduasi Mandiri is a KPM that voluntarily withdrew from the Family of Hope Program or PKH because it had been released from the trap of poverty.
"In 2019, there are 168 Independent Graduation KPM throughout Banten Province. In the future we are targeting more," said one PKH companion on the sidelines of his busy schedule in preparing to welcome the visit of Commission VIII DPR RI. Located in the yard of Serang District, a working visit was conducted with the Ministry of Social Affairs on Friday morning (6/12).
Three KPM PKH members, Iroh Musfiroh, Nasih, and Siti Mulkinah, became representatives of 168 KPM Graduasi Mandiri to receive an award from the Ministry of Social Affairs at this morning's activity. They are KPM’s who have managed to escape poverty after receiving assistance from the PKH Program. One of them has even been able to open a parts store in Serang City. The award certificate was presented by Commission VIII DPR RI accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the local Social Service.
In addition to suave activities, members of Commission VIII DPR RI and officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs accompanied by regional officials also reviewed the implementation of simulations for withdrawing PKH assistance funds at ATM machines as well as the BPNT spending process at e-warong stands.
"It was greatly helped by the PKH program. I can now use an ATM," said one of the PKH KPMs, wiping the sweat that started rolling down his face with the tip of his headscarf. He also hopes that in the future the PKH Program can prosper his family and make the future of his children even better.
This year, the Ministry of Social Affairs is targeting 7.9% of the 10 million KPM PKH integrated. This also means the success of the Ministry of Social Affairs in its efforts to prosper the Indonesian people and reduce poverty in Indonesia.
