Bandung - The Ministry of Social Affairs has again distributed aid to victims of the Bandung earthquake. As of Saturday (21/9/2024) afternoon, the total nominal aid that has been disbursed by the Ministry of Social Affairs for victims of the Bandung earthquake is IDR 1,856,670,750.

The additional aid is in the form of 350 mattresses, 290 blankets, 5 sets of multipurpose tents, 30 roll-up tents, 20 portable family tents, 50 packs of adult clothing, 30 velbed units.

The additional aid was distributed through the Ministry of Social Affairs' buffer stock warehouses located at the Abiyoso Cimahi Center and the Wyata Guna Bandung Center.

According to the Acting Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA), Masriani Mansyur, the additional aid was largely allocated for refugee shelter needs. "The community has asked for a lot of mattresses and blankets," said Masriani, Sunday (22/9/2024).

Until the third day of the Bandung earthquake emergency response period, the Ministry of Social Affairs' field kitchen service has supplied a total of 18,000 rice parcels for daily food needs for survivors in Kertasari District and its surroundings.

Masriani emphasized that according to the instructions of the Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, the Ministry was asked to provide maximum assistance to the needs of refugees. Therefore, his party continues to monitor what needs are still needed.

For shelter needs, a total of 71 family tents and 8 multipurpose tents have been installed, spread across several affected districts. (*)
