Sukabumi (November 7, 2024)
– Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) responded to the disaster by distributing
logistical assistance to flash flood survivors in Sukabumi. The assistance was
immediately sent on Wednesday (11/6) through Sukabumi Phalamarta Center
logistics warehouse and Sukabumi City Social Office after the flash flood
occurred on Tuesday (11/5).
"We have encouraged MoSA
center closest to the disaster point, namely Sukabumi Phala Martha Center and Sukabumi City Social Office
to distribute basic logistical assistance to flood and landslide victims,"
said Minister of Social
Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) to reporters when asked about this incident
(11/7).
The assistance distributed
consisted of 300 ready-to-eat food packages; 100 ready-to-eat side dish
packages; 200 children's food packages; 30 kids ware packages; 25 family kit
packages; 25 mattresses; 20 sheets of roll-up tents; and 60 sheets of blankets
worth IDR 88,656,750, -
Gus Ipul said that his party will
continue to collect data and assessments related to further assistance.
Specifically for assistance for damage to victims' houses due to the flash
flood disaster.
"MoSA will wait for a
proposal from the Social Office for the BBR proposal, namely Housing Material
Assistance for houses that have been severely damaged," he added.
For information, 65 evacuees comprise
16 Heads of Families (KK) from the Cikondang sub-district. Now the evacuees have returned to their respective houses and cleaned them independently.
