SUKABUMI (26 January 2024) – The Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini visited a place affected by the landslide disaster in Sekarwangi Village, Cibadak District, Sukabumi. The minister and the team built a tent for people affected by the landslide disaster in Sukabumi Regency. Besides, there is logistic assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs that was provided previously on Wednesday (24/1).

“We prepare additional tent. It can accommodate 69 Families, but if it’s not enough, we prepare others. We will discuss first with the Sukabumi Regency Government about the location. If there’s a place, then we will prepare the tent,” said the Minister of Social Affairs while visiting the disaster post in Sukabumi on Thursday (25/1).

The landslide disaster in Sekarwangi Village, Cibadak District affected 12 houses destroyed and buried. There were 15 families and 51 persons impacted by this disaster. Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed assistance in the form of logistics for the people.

Acting Director of Social Security for Natural Disaster Victims Muhammad Delmi said that some assistance has been delivered. “Logistic assistance from the nearby warehouse has been provided to the people, such as clothes and food that can be used in the emergency,” he said.

For the details, the assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs is 300 packs of ready-to-eat food, 400 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 50 pcs bed, 20 pcs roll tent, 50 pcs blanket, 8 packages of adult clothes, 30 packages of family kit, 160 packages of kids meal, 5 packages of kidswear, and 5 packages of baby clothes.

Besides, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Disaster Response Volunteer Worker also built an Integrated Disaster Post together with the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Sukabumi Regency, Social Services of Sukabumi Regency, Army, Police, and volunteers.
