BANDUNG REGENCY (September 21, 2024) - Acting Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, Masriani Mansyur, confirmed that there were no more Bandung earthquake refugees eating cassava in the Ministry of Social Affairs' refugee tents. This is because the logistical assistance sent by the Ministry of Social Affairs was received on Wednesday (September 18, 2024) afternoon. "Maybe right at the time of the incident, but a few hours after that, the Ministry of Social Affairs' logistics immediately arrived at the location. Including tents and others," he said in Bandung, Saturday (September 21, 2024).

Head of Cikembang Village, Tatang Ridwan Trulina agreed. "The incident occurred at the beginning of the earthquake, a few moments later the Ministry of Social Affairs' assistance had arrived at the location," he said. According to Tatang, the evacuation point was one of the locations that received the most assistance.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed a number of aids for victims of the Bandung earthquake since Wednesday, (18/9/2024) including 1,280 ready-to-eat food packages on the first day the earthquake occurred.

The next day or Thursday (19/9/2024) morning, the Ministry of Social Affairs' field public kitchen team provided food needs for affected residents in five villages, namely Cibeureum Village as many as 3,000 packages, Sukasari Village 100 packages, Tarumajaya Village 600 packages, Cihawuk Village 1,200 packages, and including Cikembang Village as many as 1,100 packages.
