CIANJUR (May 4, 2023) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini fulfilled her promise to rebuild and repair houses belonging to the social pillars of the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) which were affected by Cianjur earthquake.
House construction and repair assistance was given to 10 social pillars working under the auspices of MoSA. They consisted of 5 Human Resources of the Family Hope Program (PKH), 2 District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK), and 3 Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana).
The construction was marked by the laying of the first stone by Minister of Social Affairs Risma at one of the locations of recipients of housing construction assistance in Mekarsari Village, Cianjur Regency, Thursday (4/5).
"At the time of the disaster, there were several members of our social pillar from MoSA, PKH HR, TKSK, Tagana, and Social Workers, who told me that their houses were also destroyed by the earthquake," said Risma in Cianjur, Thursday (4/5).
At that time, Risma said, they worked with her, helping to deal with people affected by the same earthquake, even though their houses were also destroyed. Due to this incident, Risma then promised to try to help alleviate the difficulties caused by the damage to their house.
However, to realize the construction of the house, Risma could not work by herself. She invited independent institutions that collected money or goods (PUB), Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV-Indosiar and kitabisa.com, due to MoSA's limited budget.
"Due to the limited budget we have at MoSA, I asked them (YPP SCTV-Indosiar and Kitabisa.com) for help. Thus, we can help 10 housing units," said Risma.
Out of the 10 housing assistance, Risma explained, six of the houses were new houses built from scratch. Meanwhile, the rest were assisted with completion or renovation until they could be reoccupied.
“A total of 10 houses submitted to me. 5 houses have been assisted because this is already in the construction process. Then, the rest is the completion of the house construction," she added.
Not only by fulfilling the promise of housing construction and repair assistance, the Minister of Social Affairs also handed over awards to 49 social pillars, consisting of 28 Tagana Coordination Forums spread across West Java Province, and 6 PKH HR, and 15 TKSK in Cianjur Regency.
"We give this award for their contribution and good work so far in helping efforts to deal with Cianjur earthquake," said Risma.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) in the amount of IDR 227,704,016.
The assistance managed by "Inten Soeweno" Integrated Center (STIS) in Cibinong includes three-wheeled motorbikes and business capital worth IDR 30,708,484, wheelchair accessibility aids, and others worth IDR 59,586,232.
"Then, there are also needs for nutrition, groceries, business capital worth IDR 96,890,000, as well as business capital, nutritional needs, basic necessities, and operational care for case response worth IDR 40,519,300," said Risma.
