PRINGSEWU (7 April 2022) - To increase the capacity of Human Resources, the Pringsewu Regency Government sent two employees of the Pringsewu Regency Regional Board for Disaster Management to take part in the Mental Revolution Training, “a Training for Strengthening a Clean, Serving and Responsive Bureaucratic Culture”. It began on February 22 to April 19, 2022.

One of the processes of the training is the preparation of a Bureaucratic Cultural Transformation Plan with the title "Cultivating the Concept of a Disaster-Resilient Village in all Pringsewu Regency", with the hope that in the future it can be actualized and beneficial for the people of Pringsewu Regency.

Located in the BPBD (Regional Board for Disaster Management) Meeting Room of Pringsewu Regency, Edi Sumber Pamungkas as the Head of BPBD opened and delivered some messages on the FGD agenda attended by elements of the Community Empowerment Service, APDESI, Head of Village, PMI, ORARI, Ukuwah Alfatah Rescue (UAR) and Pringsewu District Disaster Preparedness Cadets. Also attending were representatives of the press, Bambang Hartono, Chair of the Pringsewu Regency Journalists Communication Forum (FKWKP), and Agus Tri Wahyudi, Chair of the Pringsewu Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) (Thursday, 07/04/2022).

"Your presence today in the context of implementing the FGD is an extraordinary contribution, not only limited to the completion of one of the RTBB Training and Preparation processes but more to participate in the Development and Protection process for the Community in the context of Disaster Mitigation and Prevention," said Edi when open event. This was followed by a presentation on the Concept of a Disaster-Resilient Village which is part of Community-Based Disaster Mitigation by Agus Purnomo, a Young Expert Disaster Analyst at BPBD Pringsewu Regency who is currently attending a Mental Revolution Training for Strengthening a Clean, Serving and Responsive Bureaucratic Culture organized by the Administrative Institution of the Republic of Indonesia.

“The Basis for the Establishment of a Disaster-Resilient Village/Sub District, Regulation of the Head of the National Board for Disaster Management Number 01 of 2012, where Destana is a Village/Sub District that has the independent ability to adapt and deal with disaster threats, as well as recovering immediately from the adverse effects of a disaster if it is hit by a disaster,” said Agus in his presentation slide.

Even though it was held during the fasting month of Ramadan, all participants still seemed enthusiastic about participating in the FGD, by conveying various ideas, questions, suggestions, and input. On that occasion, Bambang Hartono, the Chair of the Pringsewu Regency FKWKP also questioned the extent to which the Pringsewu Regency Government in this case the Pringsewu BPBD is serious about implementing and realizing the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) in the field of Disaster Management such as mapping Disaster Prone Areas, making and providing Disaster Risk Assessment Documents, Disaster Management Plan (RPB) Document, Contingency Plan Document per Disaster Type and encourage Local Wisdom to strengthen Culture and increase the opportunity for the community to be consciously and actively involved in the disaster management process, which we know is a follow-up note on the recommendation of the BPBD Pringsewu Regency for the previous fiscal year.
