PRINGSEWU (28 January 2022) - Due to heavy rain and strong winds on Tuesday night (25/1), many trees fell on houses and several laying hens farms in the Pekon Bulurejo area, Yogyakarta, South Yogyakarta, Kediri, and Mataram, Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency.

 

For 3 days, the Pringsewu Disaster Management, Fire and Rescue Task Force team led directly by Agus Purnomo as the Functional Disaster Analyst carried out evacuations, cut trees, and worked together with the community. Not only that, elements of the nation such as TNI (Indonesian Army) and POLRI (Indonesian Police) and social pillars such as Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana), District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK), and other volunteer elements participated in these activities.

 

The Deputy Regent of Pringsewu, Fauzi, paid special attention to the disasters experienced by the people affected by the disaster.

 

Accompanied by the Head of BPBD (Regional Board for Disaster Management) Pringsewu Edi Sumber Pamungkas, Head of Rehabilitation and Social Security of the Pringsewu Social Office, Head of Gading Rejo Sub-district, Danramil Gading Rejo, District Head and Head of Pekon South Yogyakarta and Kediri, Fauzi immediately visited the location while delivering assistance in the form of building materials and necessities to help relieve the burden of disasters experienced by residents.

 

Two of the residents affected by the disaster, Sudarman (75 years) and Sugiono (60 years) seemed moved by the assistance and attention given by the local government.

 

In addition to assisting, the Deputy Regent of Pringsewu also conveyed education and an invitation to continue to work together hand in hand when a community member was struck by a disaster.

 

Participating in this activity, KOSGORO Pringsewu Regency and the Joint Business Group (Kube) assisted the Social Welfare Contribution (IKS) sourced from the Management and members coordinated by Agus Edi Subowo TKSK of Gading Rejo District.
