JAKARTA (March 20, 2023) - To celebrate Ramadan 144H, PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) along with Benih Baik Indonesia Foundation (Benihbaik.com) gave assistance through the Ministry of Social Affairs.  The assistance will be distributed to support nutritional intake for underprivileged families during fasting.

The assistance is given symbolically to the Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini in the Ministry of Social Affairs (20/3). The assistance is a collaboration between DAIKIN Indonesia and Benih Baik through the annual agenda, Roda-Roda Ramadhan program series.

This year DAIKIN and Benih Baik involved the Ministry of Social Affairs in distributing the assistance as a form of cooperation in an effort to help vulnerable groups and underprivileged families.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the assistance recipients, we thank Benih Baik and DAIKIN Indonesia for their umpteenth donation,” Minister Risma said.

The MoSA stakeholder’s positive contribution increased the nutrition intake for underprivileged families during fasting.

“We also have impediments in proposing assistance, for example during Ramadan, due to the MoSA limited budget. Therefore, this assistance will ease the needy citizens,” Social Affairs Minister said.

The assistance handed over was 3,460 aid packages consisting of 1,900 Basic Food Packages for the Pre-Prosperous General Community, 800 Basic Food Packages for Orphanages with Disabilities, 700 School Supplies Packages for Children from Pre-Prosperous Families, 15 Three-Legged Units, and 15 Walker Units for Disabilities, 15 Folding Canes and 15 Talking Hours Units for the Blind. The total assistance provided is worth IDR1.25 billion. Furthermore, the assistance will be distributed at 17 points in Indonesia.

Andy F. Noya, the Founder and CEO of Benih Baik said that this collaboration was carried out as a form of concern and mutual cooperation in supporting government programs, especially at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"This is our concern, the ones who are outside the government, to support government programs, in this case at the Ministry of Social Affairs. Since the talks between us at Benih Baik and at the Ministry of Social Affairs, especially with Mrs. Risma, we know that there are still many programs in the MoSA that need support. Hence, this is a form of the spirit of mutual cooperation that has been the strength of the Indonesia nation," said Andy

Besides referring to the Ministry of Social Affairs' Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS), this assistance also targets Social Welfare Service for Persons in Need (PPKS) who live on the streets. Andy hopes that this assistance is really useful and on target.

"Basically, we are working with the Ministry of Social Affairs so that these beneficiaries are really people in need. So the data is also not unclear," said Andy.

On the same occasion, CEO of DAIKIN Indonesia Budi Mulia explained that as a businessman, his company will continue to show its concern, especially in social activities. Through the Roda-Roda Ramadhan Program, DAIKIN Indonesia can share with the underprivileged.

Also present at this activity were the Director General of Social Protection and Security Robben Rico, the Director General of Social Rehabilitation Pepen Nazarudin, the Special Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs for Communication and Mass Media Don Rozano Sigit Prakoeswa, the Special Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs for Social Security Services and Potential Sources of Social Security Luhur Budijarso Lulu, and the Special Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs for Human Resources Development and Programs of the Ministry Suhadi Lili.
