PUSPAHIANG (May 29, 2022) - The excitement of the 26th National Elderly Day
(HLUN) in 2022 was felt by the elderly at the Puspahiang District Office on
Sunday, (29/5). The younger generation is also involved in providing services
to the elderly.
The 26th HLUN of 2022 which was held simultaneously
in 39 sub-districts in Tasikmalaya Regency attracted a lot of attention because the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini immediately greeted the
39 sub-districts virtually.
In her speech, Social Minister Risma while at the
Singaparna Medical Center (SMC) Hospital which was broadcast virtually said
that MoSA does not work alone, "So this is cooperation. Help from
all parties, from good people in Indonesia," she said.
Puspahiang District became one of the locations for
the 26th HLUN. During this peak event, MoSA handed over social assistance to 309
elderly in Puspahiang District with a total of IDR 338,226,000.

assistive devices for the elderly, entrepreneurship assistance, and renovation
assistance for elderly homes that are unfit for habitation.

There were also elderly who demonstrated their
skills in playing a musical instrument known as the traditional art of
Garinding Kecapi Suling from Pusparahayu Village. They presented this
performance to enliven the 26th HLUN.
Social Minister Risma advised that the younger
generation can also take care of the elderly. "Young people will want to. As you know that our parents took care of us when we were
babies without a burden, so it's time for us to take care of them. Because we
will also experience the same thing, becoming elderly someday," she said.
In line with this, the Head of Puspahiang
Sub-district, Ari Pitriadi said that his party would continue to assist the
elderly. "This is a form of the State being present in our midst. Parents'
affairs are our common business," he said.
