DELI SERDANG (27 May 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Medan "Insyaf" Resident Center is developing the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA).

 

The head of the Medan "Insyaf" Resident Center, Sulaiman, said that the Center is currently starting to produce vegetable crops as one of the products that will be marketed at the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA), Medan "Insyaf" Resident Center.

 

"Currently we are utilizing the area of ​​the Center can be managed to become a place for developing vegetable products. The types of plants that will be developed here are sweet mustard greens, oyster mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and chilies. In the planting process we involve experienced instructors in agriculture," said Solomon.

 

In addition, PM who has potential in the agricultural sector is also actively involved in the process of planting this vegetable.

 

"By involving PM, it is intended that they gain knowledge to develop their abilities to increase their entrepreneurial spirit after undergoing social rehabilitation," added Solomon.

 

Head of Social Rehabilitation Service, Ninik Khotijah, explained that today we have harvested 520 kg of sweet mustard vegetables, for marketing we build relationships with vegetable traders in the markets of Kampung Lalang and Marelan. We will hand over all of the proceeds from the sale of vegetables to the beneficiaries for capital investment in replanting vegetables.

 

Furthermore, Ninik also explained that the beneficiaries not only got knowledge of how to manage the land, how to grow vegetables properly, fertilize and care for them, but we also trained them in how to do the marketing management.
