"Abiyoso" Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) Socialize Braille Literacy Services
CIREBON (October 10th, 2019) - "Abiyoso" Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) Cimahi attended the invitation of the West Java Provincial Social Service Agency attended the invitation of West Java Social agency to be a resource person in Mobile Social Service Unit (UPSK) activities held in Harjamukti District, Cirebon.
"Abiyoso" BLBI Cimahi was represented by the Head of Braille Technical Guidance and Literacy Services Amin Suaedi socialized the program and activities of "Abiyoso" BLBI Cimahi service as the only Braille Literacy service manager in Indonesia.
On this occasion Amin also said that the number of people with Blind Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) in West Java was 32,877 people and was the top three PDSN population in Indonesia, after Central Java and East Java (SIM PD 2019 data), so that it became the location for the distribution of literacy services Potential Braille by not forgetting other regions.
“Abiyoso BLBI seeks to socialize programs and activities in the hope that it will become increasingly known and will be increasingly widespread in providing Braille Literacy services to PDSN, as a form of commitment of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in implementing Law Number 8 of 2016 about Persons with Disabilities throughout Indonesia," concluded Amin
This activity was attended by 75 participants consisting of Cirebon Social Service Agency, families of people with disabilities and social welfare service stakeholders.
