BANDUNG (October 4th, 2019) - Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) participated in increasing interest in reading for the younger generation. To realize this, the participation of Abiyoso as an institution for managing Braille Literacy owned by the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in Asia Africa Literacy Week (PLKAA) was held as an annual event by the Museum of the Asian-African Conference (MKAA).
"Abiyoso" BLBI participation in PLKAA 2019 is intended as a media for socialization and promotion to the public about Braille Literacy produced by "Abiyoso" BLBI as a media for social rehabilitation literacy for People with Blind Sensory Disabilities (PDSN).
This is in line with the mandate of Law Number 11 Year 2009 concerning Social Welfare and Law Number 8 Year 2016 concerning person with Disabilities, which is increasing social functioning and independence of PDSN as part of citizens who are entitled to get Social Welfare Literacy.
Asian-African Literacy Week was held in the Permanent Exhibition Room of the Museum of Asian-African Conference, precisely at Jalan Asia Afrika Number 65, Bandung. The activity will last for three days, October 4-6, 2019.
