Accelerate ATENSI, "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center Prepare Instruments

BEKASI (October 16, 2020) - In order to accelerate Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI), the Ministry of Social Affairs through "Budhi Dharma" Center for Elderly Social Rehabilitation (BRSLU) in Bekasi has compiled a mentoring instrument for the Elderly Social Welfare Agency (LKS-LU), located at the Center office.

This activity was attended by offline and online participants. The 37 offline participants consisted of LKS-LU delegates for the Jakarta, Bekasi, Banten area, representatives of State Islamic University of Syarif Hidayatullah academics and structural and functional and implementing officials within the Center. Online participants come from Senior Professionals (TPLU) in 16 Provinces (all Sumatra and Java) as the Center's coverage area.

With this activity, it is hoped that the concept of this instrument can be understood and used by LKS-LU in administrative preparation and the service process has a data base or file per elderly individual served by LKS-LU. The file depicts the potential of the elderly served by LKS so that it becomes the basis for LKS to determine intervention plans for the elderly in the ATENSI activity component.

The ATENSI component can be determined based on the results of mapping by LKS on the potential of the elderly, both in meeting basic/decent needs, family support, social care and the type of therapy needed by the elderly.

The type of therapy can be chosen according to the potential of the elderly after being mapped by LKS-LU, in the form of Physical Therapy, Spiritual Mental Therapy, Psychosocial Therapy, and Life/Vocational Therapy as needed by the elderly.

This activity was guided by resource persons from POLTEKESOS Bandung, Dr. Ayi Heryani, conveyed the need for instruments that must be prepared by "Budhi Dharma" Center to determine the initial steps to the end of the ATENSI program organized by the Center so that it is right on target, effective, on budget and right on human resources.

"LKS that can prepare institutional administrative completeness, ratio of human resources and services, means this LKS is ready to cooperate with "Budhi Dharma" Center to succeed ATENSI 2021. If the LKS cannot prepare these things, it means that it is considered unable to accept the ATENSI program," Ay said.

''The existence of instruments for both LKS instruments, development instruments for Service Recipients, as well as monitoring and evaluation instruments will determine the success of the ATENSI program implementation, and Center has an obligation to educate LKS in improving the quality of services for the elderly,'' concluded Ayi.
