PANGANDARAN (September 9th 2020) - The Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Harry Hikmat conveyed the Adaptation of the New Normal Order that participants need to know about increasing the capacity of the "Abiyoso" Cimahi Literacy Center staff.

This activity aimed to increase understanding so that employees are more competent. In addition, this activity also aimed to increase responsibility, discipline and encourage the implementation of tasks in order to achieve organizational goals.

Harry appreciated the implementation of this activity with strict health protocols. "I welcome the activities organized by the "Abiyoso" Cimahi Literacy Center. Friends must remain careful and maintain health protocols because Covid-19 trend has not decreased," he said through a virtual meeting.

In adapting the new normal order, the "Abiyoso" Cimahi Literacy Center needs to implement a flexible work system in carrying out tasks at the office (work from office) and carrying out tasks from home (work from home).

In addition, Harry conveyed that performance appraisals should continue and ensure employee discipline by staffing officers. Monitoring and supervision by the head of the work unit is still carried out by both employees who carry out work from the office or from home.

Infrastructure support also needs to be given to employees. "In the new normal, infrastructure must also be supported, such as Information Communication Technology or also known as Information Communication Technology (ICT)," he said.

Even Harry directs that infrastructure support for Beneficiaries (PM) is also necessary, such as the provision of mobile audio to provide the latest information on Covid-19 and other information.

This adaptation needs to be carried out because all are faced with the challenges of Covid-19, such as rapid changes, difficulty in estimating issues or events that occur, complexities in organizations are increasingly diverse and reality mixes with various conditions so that there is uncertainty.

Harry emphasized that the challenge was able to be responded to with something that we will realize in the future, an understanding of change and the things that need to be prepared to deal with it, the ability to see the future and agility to face changes and demands.

"The country is facing a complex situation. So ATENSI and SERASI need to be reconstructed so that their implementation is on schedule and can be realized in the future," Harry said.

Employees must ensure the changes that need to be adapted to the conditions at hand. Employees must also be agile in dealing with demands. "This Covid-19 pandemic has made us more adaptive, responsive and think about more useful activities by considering the various risks of Covid-19," said Harry.

Therefore, HR must be able to master information technology so they are able to work in various locations through virtual meetings and using digital documents.

HR also needs talent management, namely developing competitive capabilities through the use of employees to achieve optimal performance. "This is our effort to manage human resources to achieve organizational goals. This can ensure that key positions are filled by competent people," he explained.

Harry directed to ensure the use of information technology can also be used for services to PM. This innovation needs to be developed by each center. "Because the era is industry 4.0, make sure HR has competitive capabilities, so optimizing employee potential is also necessary to get good performance, one of which is through increasing the capacity of these employees," explained Harry.

Harry also reminded all employees to implement the basic values of the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely discipline, performance, synergy and dignity. Likewise, the tagline of the Ministry of Social Affairs is present which is very meaningful, reflecting how the Ministry of Social Affairs will be in the future.

In this meeting, Harry also reminded about the realization of the budget. The "Abiyoso"  literacy Center Cimahi was asked to prepare through a third budget refocusing for basic food assistance, provision of Rapid Test equipment, Swab Test or PCR and medical equipment such as masks, hand sanitizers, hand washing soap and disinfectants.

If possible, Harry also directs to prepare the PM's basic needs other than basic necessities, also for social care to therapy. "Prepare everything that benefits the PM," concluded Harry.

The Cimahi Literacy Center "Abiyoso" held an employee capacity building activity at Hotel Horison Palma Pangandaran which was attended by 58 employees, including ASN, Non State Government Employees (PPNPN) and volunteers.
