Ahead of the Eid Celebration Moment, Kartini Cookies Pushes the Pastry Production

TEMANGGUNG (26 April 2021) - Towards the moment of celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1442 H, KARTINI Cookies continues to increase its production of pastries to fulfill consumer orders. Kartini Cookies is a pastry production label made by Beneficiaries (PM) of the Center for Disability Kartini Temanggung with assistance from mentors and social workers.

 

Since Friday (16 April 2021) Kartini Cookies has produced hundreds of cookie jars. The pastries produced include premium nastar, kastengel, clove nastar, peanut, and chocolate cookies. The cookies produced by PM of Center for Disability Kartini Temanggung have sold dozens of jars and received orders for more than 200 jars of various types of pastries.

 

The beneficiaries had previously attended training in making pastries held by the "Kartini" Center for Disability in collaboration with the Surabaya Hotel School (SHS). The pastry-making training which was held on April 7 to 11 by the Ministry of Social Affairs to improve Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) services program to beneficiaries through vocational and entrepreneurial therapy.

 

The training participants were not only from the "Kartini" Center for Disability, but also participants from the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation in the Central Java Province, namely "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" Surakarta, "Antasena" Magelang Children's Center, "Margo Laras" Pati Disability Center, and "Satria" Baturraden Resident Center.

 

Various recipes for making cookies were taught by the chefs from SHS to the training participants, including Chocolate Cookies, Nastar, Kastengel, Peanut Cake, Snow White, Corn Flakes and others. In addition to knowledge and practical materials for making cakes, Surabaya Hotel School also assisted in the form of equipment for making pastries to 5 (five) UPT training participants, including gas stoves, gas tube, oven, trays, mixers, pans, and plastic bowls.
