LUBUKLINGGAU (July 21, 2020) - Street children are children who spend most of their time living and or doing activities on the streets or in public places. Removing marginalized children from street life is not an easy task. Various factors often prevent them from leaving street corners in the city such as economic, family, and environmental factors.

"Alyatama" Children Center as one of the work units belonging to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs street children and their families as targets in Strengthening Children and Families activities held at LKSA (Child Social Welfare Institutions) Pondok Bina Seni Budaya, Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra Province .

The activity with the theme “Realizing Prosperous Children Starting from the Family” was attended by the Head of LKSA, Board of Director LKSA, Sakti Social Worker Lubuklinggau City, and 40 parents and children. The purpose of this activity is that families can play a full role in increasing children's social capabilities, especially in reducing children's activities on the streets.

In this activity, families of children assisted by LKSA Pondok Bina Seni Budaya received reinforcement in the form of lectures and interactive dialogue from the Head of the Social Services and Rehabilitation Section, Nurhasanah Seprianita and the Section Head of Social Assessment and Advocacy, Lifyarman. The topic of strengthening given is the Role of the Family in Child Growth and Development, and Child Protection

"All fathers and mothers must be able to provide inspiration and encouragement for their children so that they can have a fighting spirit and try to reach their dreams for a better life," explained Nurhasanah.

"Alyatama" Children's Center Social Worker, Annisa Chyka Aulia invites the fostered children to play and chat together through group dynamics and various games.

Beside that, Chyka also motivates the children assisted by LKSA Pondok Bina Seni Budaya to reduce the intensity of being on the road and fulfill their role as children in accordance with their developmental tasks.
