BALI (28 November 2019) - Taking place at the Grand Inna Hotel in Kuta, Bali, the Final Coordination of Social Assistance for Remote Indigenous Communities (KAT) was carried out for 4 days, 26-29 November 2019. This activity is intended to send the companion home, submit a mentoring report as well as evaluate the overall performance of the companion related to main duties and functions as KAT Professional Social Assistants for 8 months.

The event was officially opened by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Arif Nahari accompanied by La Ode's Director of Remote Indigenous Community Empowerment, Taufik Nuryadin. Arif Nahari also explained to the participants how to spread good things and bring positive things to the community.

"A KAT Professional Social Assistant is a companion who is able and possible to encourage KAT residents to identify the strengths that exist within them, as well as access social resources around them" explained Arif Nahari.

"Apart from that, all of you help the process of transforming society to think strongly and to support getting something good," he continued.

Participants are divided into several groups to be able to submit reports on mentoring activities that have been carried out at their respective placement locations, as well as evaluate the performance of KAT Professional Social Assistants for 8 months carrying out mentoring and KAT Human Resources empowerment tasks.

A total of 44 KAT Professional Social Assistants in 2019 received material on Communication Strategies and Tips for Writing on Social Media from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Academics, University of Indonesia and Media Practitioners.

At the end of the activity, on behalf of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs the Director of PKAT expressed his gratitude and extraordinary appreciation for transforming kindness and inviting goodness at the KAT location for 8 months. Appreciation for the performance of KAT Professional social assistants in the form of certificates is also given to each companion. Apart from that, as a form of memento, some participants gave goods that were produced at the KAT location using natural raw materials obtained around the location, which were then processed into goods that could be used.
