BEKASI (July 23, 2021) - The continuous increase of Covid-19 cases has had a significant impact on all levels of society. Starting from small residents who have difficulty surviving to health workers who are also starting to be overwhelmed in providing health services.

 

Faced with this condition, the Government imposed a policy of Enforcement of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) for the Java and Bali regions on July 3-20. Seeing the Covid-19 transmission rate that has not yet fallen, the Bekasi Regency Government has now issued a Level 4 PPKM Circular Letter. It was signed by Acting Head of Bekasi Regent, Herman Hanafi, and will take effect from 21-25 July 2021.

 

To provide support for handling communities affected and exposed to Covid-19 during the PPKM period, three Social Rehabilitation Centers in Bekasi, namely the "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center, "Tan Miyat" Sensory Disability Center and "Pangudi Luhur" Training Center opened a Public Kitchen.

 

This was carried out in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, who instructed the Ministry of Social Affairs to establish a public kitchen as an emergency response service for the Covid-19 pandemic in Bekasi.

 

The public kitchen will provide boxed rice which is planned to be held for 6 days starting on July 23 - 28 on Jl. HM. Djojo Martono Number 19 Margahayu, East Bekasi, Bekasi City. This public kitchen will provide 3300 packages of boxed rice per day for 6 days with a menu containing rice, meat, boiled eggs, vegetables, citrus fruits/bananas, and mineral water in each package.

 

Distribution the boxed rice packages will target health workers, funeral workers, self-isolating communities, and beneficiaries at Social Welfare Institutions (LKS) in Bekasi City and Regency.

 

"We will distribute a total of 3300 packets of rice boxes per day for 6 days to health workers, funeral workers, self-isolating communities, and LKS in the City and Regency of Bekasi," said Pujiyanto, Head of the Bekasi "Budhi Dharma" Center.

The details of the health workers who will receive the package from the public kitchen are health workers at 6 Puskesmas in Bekasi Regency, namely Jatimulya Health Center, Tambun Health Center, Telaga Murni Health Center, Lambang Sari Health Center, Mangunjaya Health Center, and Karang Satria Health Center. There are four health centers in Bekasi City, namely Karang Kitri Health Center, Duren Jaya Health Center, Aren Jaya Health Center, Mustika Jaya Health Center and six hospitals namely Bekasi District Hospital, Primaya Hospital East Bekasi, Juanda Hospital, Juwita Hospital, Bella General Hospital, and Kartini Hospital Bekasi City.

Packages will also be given to funeral workers at Mangunjaya TPU, Wanajaya TPU and Pedurenan TPU. Self isolating community members who live in Margahayu Village, Pesona Teratai Housing, Bulak Kapal Permai Housing (BKP) and Jatimulya Housing.

In addition, to officers and beneficiaries who are in 7 LKS, namely LKS Karang Madya, LKS Tembong Agung, Pertuni Bekasi City, Pertuni Bekasi Regency, LKS Caritas Bekasi City, LKS Qudwah Al Barosyah, and PSTW Kartini Bekasi Regency.
