BANJARBARU (April 7, 2021) - The Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) paid a visit to conduct an Assessment of Programs and Services for Persons with Mental Disabilities at the Budi Luhur Banjarbaru Mental Disability Center.

Located in the meeting room of “Budi Luhur” Center, the 3-person Assessment Team of Bappenas was welcomed directly by the Head of “Budi Luhur” Center, Herry Pawoko, and continued with the presentation of the Profile of “Budi Luhur” Center and the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Service Program (ATENSI). After that, questions and answers session was held between the Team of Bappenas and the Head of the Center for Disabilities, Budi Luhur Banjarbaru.

Adhi Rochman Prana as the First-level Planner from Bappenas explained that the Assessment of Programs and Services for Persons with Mental Disabilities is to follow up on the mandate of Government Regulation Number 70 of 2019 on Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation of Respect, Protection, and Fulfillment of Rights of Persons with Disabilities to prepare a Regional Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RAD PD). For this reason, a mapping of programs and services from the Regional Government is needed to formulate inclusive and integrated planning for Persons with Disabilities.

In this regard, the Directorate of Poverty Alleviation and Community Empowerment of Bappenas conducted a Field Visit and outreach related to the Draft RAD PD. "Thank you, Budi Luhur, for the opportunity, and we will make this as material in the preparation of planning," added Adhi.

The Head of the Center for Disabilities, Budi Luhur, highly appreciated the activity of preparing this Regional Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities. "Hopefully what we convey will later become materials for development planning by Bapennas, especially rehabilitation services for mental disabilities," said Herry Pawoko.
