Basic Food Assistance: A Form of Ministry of Social Affairs Attention for Children
BUNGO (15th June 2020) - The hot weather during the day did not diminish the enthusiasm and joy of the children who were heading to the Social Service of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (P2KBP3A) Hall, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. The joy is none other than because they will receive food packages.
One of the beneficiary children, Yudha, stated that he was very excited when he found out that one of the contents of the basic food assistance was his favorite cereal. Together with his four friends, they enthusiastically looked for the front seats.
The ceremony for the handing over of basic food assistance took place solemnly and smoothly. There are four Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) that receive the Food Package Assistance in Bungo Regency, they are LKSA Nurul Khairiyah, LKSA Qirotul Quran, LKSA Aisyiyah, and LKSA Hijratul Khair.
The handover was attended by the Head of the P2KBP3A Social Service, the Service Secretary, the Head of the Social Protection and Security Section, the Head of the Social Rehabilitation Section, the Chairperson of the LKSA, and the children who received the assistance.
"Currently, all aspects of life are fragile due to the COVID-19, so that many residents cannot fulfill their daily needs," said Yos Army as the Head of the Department in his speech.
He also mentioned that the assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs is certainly a form of attention from the central government to the citizens and really appreciates the assistance provided to children affected by COVID-19.
