BENGKULU (May 21, 2020) - The conditions that are currently happening in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic are deeply felt by all people. To ease the burden on vulnerable and marginalized communities in Bengkulu Province, the “Dharma Guna” Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) in Bengkulu has distributed basic food assistance again. This time, 245 packages of basic food assistance were distributed in Kepahiang Regency with a total of 100 packages, 45 packages in Rejang Lebong and 100 packages in Lebong District.
The team from the “Dharma Guna” Center for Persons with Mental Disabilities in Bengkulu led by the Head of the Center, Dardi, was greeted directly by the Regent of Kepahiang, Hidayattullah Sjahid, along with the Head of the Social Service and his staff. “We, from the Kepahiyang government, would like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for providing this assistance, and hopefully, it can ease the burden on the beneficiaries affected by COVID-19,” said Hidayatullah in his remarks.
During the distribution of basic food assistance, Dardi greeted a disabled person, Edwin Kurniawan. He expressed his great pleasure and gratitude for the assistance that had been given to him.
In the future, the “Dharma Guna” Center for Persons with Mental Disabilities in Bengkulu will continue the distribution of Basic Food Social Assistance phase three which will be held after Eid Al-Fitr 1441 H.
