BRSKPN "Insyaf" Prevents Drug Abuse
MEDANG DERAS (October 26, 2019) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Drug Abuse (BRSKPN) "Insyaf" Medan and the Anti Narcotics Cadre of Pakam Raya Village held a Strengthening of Youth Characteristics in Pakam Raya Village to play an active role in avoiding and preventing drug abuse. Through this activity, it is hoped that the Pakam Raya Clean Drug Village will be realized. The activity was carried out in the hall of Pakam Raya Village, Medang Deras District, Batubara Regency.
One of the causes of crime, immorality and conflict in the community is drug abuse. The rise of drug trafficking in various regions in Indonesia has claimed many victims.
"The number of victims of drug abuse, especially among the younger generation is increasing every year, therefore efforts to save youth must be done," said Sulaiman as Head of The Social Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Drug Abuse (BRSKPN) "Insyaf" Medan when delivering his direction to all participants.
Sulaiman added, "Youth as a generation who are expected to be the nation's successors, are increasingly destroyed because of drugs. So that the young man cannot think clearly. Consequently, the generation of hope of a strong and intelligent nation will only remain a memory."
Strengthening the character of this youth was attended by 40 participants consisting of youth, Christian and Muslim youth leaders. Also attending as a guest speaker at this event was the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Batubara Regency.
