MEDAN (September 14, 2019) - Social Instructor of Social Extension Center for People with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) (BRSODH) in Medan, provided counseling to 850 new students in the Campus Life Introduction Program for New Students (PKKMB) Helvetia Health Institute Medan (14/9) and 210 new students at the Student Basic Guidance Period (MaBiDaMa) Medan Agricultural Development Polytechnic (13/9).

HIV education delivered to new students is one of the efforts in the context of preventing HIV / AIDS and removing stigma and discrimination for friends living with HIV among students, especially students.

In the future, it is expected that more counseling activities will be carried out in schools and universities / colleges in order to educate, not only to students but also to educators.

It is intended that the educational environment can also play a role in efforts to prevent HIV / AIDS and eliminate stigma and discrimination against people with HIV / AIDS.
