BRSPDM "Phala Martha" Holds Social Rehabilitation Service Development Education

CIANJUR (September 19, 2019) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) "Phala Martha" Sukabumi held an Educational Development Activity Model for Social Rehabilitation Services for People with Mental Disabilities (PDM) in Cianjur Regency. This activity was opened by Amad Mutawali as Head of Cianjur Regency Social Service.

"Social welfare practitioners and also the wider community are expected to know the new direction of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation policy that contains the substance of social rehabilitation services for Persons with Mental Disabilities in a systematic, holistic and standardized manner," said Neni Riawati as Head of BRSPDM "Phala Martha" Sukabumi.

"With professional intervention, it is hoped that PDMs can develop their functions, capabilities and social responsibilities so that they can return to the community," he continued.

Around 140 participants attended the activity, consisting of representatives from the Health Service, Puskesmas, Social Welfare Institutions, Social Security Administrator (BPJS), Kodim, Cianjur District Police, assistants, Sub-district Social Workforce (TKSK), and also people with disabilities.

In this activity, Social Workers also deliver material on handling PDM in the Family and Community.
