TAKALAR (April 2, 2021) - The Pangurangi Training Center and Pangurangi Residential Center in Takalar belonging to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs are preparing to build the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA) with the Booth Container concept. These two locations will be the first SKA in Eastern Indonesia.
The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini directed that social rehabilitation centers not only provide assistance and training to beneficiaries but ensure that they can live independently, do not depend on other people and have access to employment opportunities and are not complacent.
The Social Affairs Minister Risma provides a solution by creating ATENSI Creation Center (SKA), which is a center for entrepreneurship and vocational development as well as media for promoting the work of beneficiaries in one area.
Following up on Social Affairs Minister Risma's directive, Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Harry Hikmat, visited the Pangurangi Training Center and Pangurangi Residential Center in Takalar.
The plan is that these 2 Pangurangi Centers will develop the ATENSI Creation Center with the concept of a container booth along the road leading to the entrance to the shop. Then, artistic outlets were also created for the beneficiary's gallery of works such as bonsai, decorative lights and photographic results.
Then the centers will also fill the ATENSI Creation Center with barbershops, tailors, agro-tourism, and fruit cultivation.
Harry directs that these 2 centers need to maximize the function of social rehabilitation first. The Pangurangi centers must work harder, considering that the total area of the two lands, which is 7.5 hectares, can be utilized as much as possible for service and empowerment of beneficiaries whose territory covers the provinces of South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, NTT and NTB.
"Some of the rooms are used as rooms for spiritual therapy, behavior, and mental therapy to raise awareness of the beneficiaries. They are also gradually preparing skills supporting equipment," explained Harry when he visited the Pangurangi Center in Takalar.
The Center initiated open sewing skills, barbershops, and photography. Beneficiaries who have undergone these skills may be given the opportunity to fill in the SKA which is currently under development.

At the Pangurangi Residential Center, Harry reviewed the swimming pool room as a sports center for the beneficiaries. He also visited the beneficiary's dormitory where the facilities are quite capable.
Then, Harry met with the beneficiaries of the Pangurangi Residential Center, one of them was a beneficiary from Pare who claimed to have been a drug addict. Now he can develop skills in making bonsai ornamental plants.
There is also the work of the beneficiaries, the decorative lamps made of paralon which surface is made by order. These works will fill the SKA gallery in Pangurangi. Not only the work of the beneficiaries from the centers but the work from the Social Welfare Institution (LKS) can also be exhibited.
Azwar Ridwan is a proud Pangurangi Residential Center beneficiary. "I have changed a lot since participating in rehabilitation here. I want to encourage other friends to come here and change themselves. I can only say thank you to the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.
Azwar, who is an architect, expressed his gratitude by taking part in designing the ATENSI Creation Center for the Pangurangi Center. His work received appreciation from the Director General of Social Affairs and his staff.
At the end of the meeting, Harry said that the Pangurangi Center must be ready to become a multi-functional workshop, namely not only specifically dealing with PLWHIV and drug victims, but also other social problems, including emergency conditions such as natural and non-natural disasters.
