Children Center "Toddopuli" Makassar Commemorates Isra 'Mi'raj of Prophet Muhammad SAW

MAKASSAR (12 March 2021) - Isra 'and Mi'raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a historical event for mankind, especially Islam, through this event, the order of the 5 daily prayers for Prophet Muhammad SAW and all of his people became an obligation.

To provide Spiritual and Religious Guidance in the scope of the "Toddopuli" Children Center in Makassar, especially to Persons Needing Social Services (PPKS) as part of the ATENSI Program, Isra 'and Mi'raj commemoration activity was carried out which was attended by all employees and PPKS and Dharma Wanita Association. The activity took place at the Babul Khaerat Mosque, "Toddopuli" Children Center in Makassar.

In the previous week, several Religious Contests were held, namely the Call to Prayer (Adzan) Competition, Short Verses of the Koran Memorization Competition, Prayer Contest, and Quiz Contest, which were attended by all PPKS and Employees.

Christiana Junus, Head of BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" in Makassar, said that this activity is part of spiritual and religious mental development for all of us, especially for PPKS to always remember and understand major history and events and be able to take lessons and apply them in everyday life.

Ustadz Amir Mahmud as the speaker explained that the Isra 'and Mi'raj events were the execution of the Prophet Muhammad SAW from the Grand Mosque in the city of Mecca to the Aqso' Mosque in Palestine to the 7th (seventh) sky overnight by the will of Allah SWT to receive prayer orders. As a religious community, we must always believe that everything can happen by Allah’s will and always try to migrate and perform reflection in this life to be better.

Ag (17-year-old) PPKS from Takalar Regency said that he and all beneficiaries were very happy to be able to participate in the competition held in the framework of Isra Mi'raj, "Every night we try to memorize the short verses and try to show our best. We are aware that we have made mistakes, for that we are given guidance, assistance, and are taught to be disciplined in this Center. We were taught the 5 prayers on time to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW so that it would be our provision for later after we left the Toddopuli Children Center."

In this activity, prizes were also given which had been prepared for the winners of the competition.
