"Ciungwanara" Center Facilitates ID Card Recording for Persons with Disabilities

BOGOR (June 22, 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through "Ciungwanara" Center in collaboration with the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Bogor Regency has recorded Resident Identity Cards (KTP) for people with disabilities who are beneficiaries of residential and family-based benefits.

 

The activity which was held at the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA) "Ciungwanara" Center and was attended by the Head of the Population Identity Section of the Disdukcapil Bogor Regency, Suparno, Kurnia Damai from the Innovation and Cooperation section, Panji Restia, Sanusi, M. Wildan and Lukmanul Hakim from the Population Access Information System section.

 

Following the mandate of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2013 on Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2006 on population administration, every citizen over the age of 17 is required to have an Identity Card (KTP). Therefore, the "Ciungwanara" Center had previously explored cooperation with the Disdukcapil and it was agreed that the recording of the Identity Card (KTP) was located at the "Ciungwanara" Center.

 

"We will continue to simplify our services with a proactive system like this, to make it easier for the public, especially people with disabilities, to get identity cards," said Suparno.

 

Head of "Ciungwanara" Center, Siti Sari Rukmayanti hopes that this collaboration will be a good start for people with disabilities because they can have their own legality in the form of an Identity Card.

 

"We thank the Population and Civil Registry Office of Bogor Regency for the kind response to welcoming this collaboration," said Siti Sari Rukmayanti.

 

This ID card recording activity was attended by 11 Beneficiaries of Residential Services and their families as well as one beneficiary from LKS Cerebral Palsy Friendly Bogor.

 

One parent of a family-based beneficiary expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs through "Ciungwanara" Center for facilitating the recording of ID cards for his son.

 

“I have participated in the process of recording an ID card for my son twice, but it has not been finished yet. Thank God, through the "Ciungwanara" Center, my son finally got the opportunity to record his ID card," said "W".
