JAKARTA (August 15, 2022) - To celebrate the 61st Birthday of the Scouts, the Indonesian National Commission for Disabilities collaborated with the Handayani Center in Jakarta to provide dissemination and education about persons with disabilities to the Scout movement and provide support to the Scout movement with special needs (Disability Scouts) to be able to be actively and inclusively involved with other participants through an exhibition of the Beneficiaries' works which was held in the main field of the East Jakarta Cibubur Campground.

Handayani Center in Jakarta, which is one of the Technical Implementing Units of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs which provides multi-functional social rehabilitation services, is present to provide socialization and education to Scout participants by displaying various works of Beneficiaries i.e assistive devices for Disabilities such as a tricycle motorbike that is used in designed according to the needs of people with disabilities, adaptive canes, walkers and crutches (walking aids for people with disabilities), handicrafts such as flower racks, wall decorations and also food creations from the ATENSI Creation Center such as fried peanuts, fish paste and mushroom tofu paste.

The Head of the Handayani Center in Jakarta, Romal Sinaga, gave his full support for this activity. Romal hoped that the presence of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the Handayani Center in Jakarta can provide information to the Jamboree participants about the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs services through multi-functional services and in particular education and understanding of disability services.

The Scout Anniversary activity which coincided with the XI National Jamboree was attended by 9,468 Scout members from all over Indonesia. Scout participants were divided into small groups of 25 children, each group being able to visit the exhibition stand and try to use tools and see and even buy beneficiaries' work.
