PURWOKERTO (February 15, 2021) - The Satria Baturraden Resident Center along with the Narcotics Penitentiary (Lapas) Class IIB Purwokerto carry out a synergy program for the rehabilitation of drug abuse victims (KPN).

Located in the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison Hall, the synergy of this rehabilitation service program is realized in the form of a cooperation agreement.

This is the first time that the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison has run social rehabilitation for Correctional Inmates (WBP) so that the Satria Baturraden Resident Center is involved in the preparation of the social rehabilitation program. The rehabilitation program designed is using the therapeutic community (TC) method which is adjusted to the provisions of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as well as the service needs of the WBP. In addition, the Satria Baturraden Resident Hall also helps train human resources in the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison to carry out future programs.

The Head of the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison, Teguh Hartaya, expressed his gratitude for the cooperation agreement made. "Our place is a reference for prisons in Central Java to carry out rehabilitation. So with the ratification of this collaboration it helps us to be able to carry out Narcotics social rehabilitation. I hope that the Center HR can help run the program and also continue to monitor," said Teguh.

Tasks Executor of Head of the Satria Baturraden Residential Center, Hendra Permana, said that this was part of an inter-ministerial effort to handle drugs.

"We are committed to assisting and adapting it to the work of Center and the ATENSI Program. This is also part of our development to build therapy in a more diverse setting environment. Hopefully we can help push the rehabilitation system in prisons to run well," said Hendra.

To train human resources at the Narcotics Prison in Purwokerto, officers from the Satria Baturraden Residential Center consisting of social workers, psychologists, and nurses assist in individual/group therapy practices that will be implemented in prisons. Previously, they had also provided training related to the TC concept as the basis for implementing the program and filling out the WHOQOL instrument.
