LOMBOK (July 30, 2022) - Playing is a means for children to grow and develop more optimally. By playing, children develop imagination, cooperation, empathy, communication, negotiation, motoric, cognitive, and social-emotional development.

Following a directive from the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, that children need to get space to play and preserve traditional games, MoSA through Nipotowe Center Palu in collaboration with the Lenek District Government, PKH Companions, and KKN students at the Mataram State Islamic University held activities with children in the form of outbound on Thursday morning, (07/28/2022) at the Wirang Baya Lenek Pesiraman Field, Lenek District, East Lombok.

Playing with children is a series of activities to commemorate National Children's Day (HAN) 2022 in Lombok Regency which is held in all Districts.

From Lenek District, more than 200 children participated in playing activities with children, with age groups ranging from kindergarten, elementary, junior, and senior high schools.

Children: Learning by Playing

Playing with children is carried out in the form of outbound with various types of games such as moving the ball with a rope, hitting the pot, playing marbles spoon, ball relay, water relay, and balloon snake game. Each child is divided into several groups of 10 people. Each winning group is given an asterisk to get a prize at the end of the game.

"The games are many and exciting, all of them are fun," said Azam, a 10-year-old game participant who expressed his feelings about participating in outbound activities.

"It's nice to be able to play with friends. You can learn to cooperate, be careful too and there are prizes," said Rizki when asked what he felt when he participated in playing activities together.

The outbound activity was also attended by parents and the surrounding community who enlivened it. It was so exciting, parents were excited to shout to encourage their children to finish the game well.
