Commemorating HLUN 2022, 401 Elderly in Culamega Tasikmalaya Receive Assistance from MoSA

TASIKMALAYA (May 29, 2022) – The highlight of the 26th National Elderly Day Commemoration (HLUN) in 2022 was held simultaneously by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 39 Districts in Tasikmalaya Regency on 29/05/2022.

 

“Phalamartha” Center in Sukabumi together with the Directorate of Remote Indigenous Community Empowerment and Social Entrepreneurship (Dit. PKAT & KS) is responsible for carrying out the tasks of the 26th HLUN series of activities in 2022 in Culamega District.

 

The Head of the Center, Cup Santo said that previously the center team had carried out an assessment and verification of the elderly data in Culamega District, and obtained data for the elderly as many as 401 people, spread over 5 villages, namely: Cikuya Village, Cintabodas, Cipicung, Mekarlaksana, and Bojongsari.

 

In a series of commemorations of the 26th HLUN, MoSA through the Phalamarta Center and Dit. PKAT & KS handed over ATENSI program consisting of: Nutrition and Clothing for 401 Elderly, Triple Cane (9), Sensory Cane (1), Wheelchair (8), Hearing Aid (15), Glasses (8), Home Equipment in the form of sleeping and kitchen equipment as well as toiletries (1) and Rehabilitation Assistance for Uninhabitable Houses (RUTILAHU), with a total aid value of IDR 228,926,000,-.

 

The highlight of the Elderly Day event was held by Teleconference from SMC Hospital Tasikmalaya (29/5) and was attended by the Minister of Social Affairs, Members of Commission VIII DPR RI, Deputy Governor of West Java, Regent of Tasikmalaya and Forkompimda Tasikmalaya. As many as 75 representatives of the elderly in Culamega Sub-district who attended the activity, had the opportunity to be greeted and have a dialogue with MoSA through teleconference.

 

"I say thank you very much to the Minister who has given attention and assistance to us," said Grandma Atikah.

 

In addition to participating in the teleconference, the peak of the 26th HLUN commemoration in Culamega District also included elderly gymnastics, health checks, and entertainment events featuring Calung Elderly Traditional Arts.
