Commemoration of National Children's Day 2022, Antasena Center Magelang Holds Archery and Wall Climbing Exercises
MAGELANG (JULY 27, 2022) - Towards the peak of the commemoration of
National Children's Day 2022, Antasena Center Magelang held archery and wall
climbing competitions. The competition was participated by children from the
Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) in Magelang and students from SMA and
SMK in the regency/city of Magelang. Before the competition which will be
held on July 29, 2022, a technical meeting will be held on July 21, 2022, and
followed by joint training on July 21, 26, and 27 2022, attended by 44
participants.
The practice activities went smoothly, the
contestants seemed enthusiastic, orderly, and serious. "After 3 days of
training, many participants showed significant progress from those unfamiliar with archery at all distances of 10 meters with a focus on targeting
accuracy. Some of the participants still missed but most of them started to hit
the target," said Zulfikar, an archery coach. The same thing happened to
the wall climbing branch, some participants managed to climb higher, and some even
reached the top.
Archery and wall climbing are sports that can train
limb coordination, balance, accuracy, focus, concentration, patience, body
strength, and increase self-confidence. This is in line with the spirit of
commemorating National Children's Day 2022 which is full of hope that
Indonesian children can grow up healthy, strong, and creative to become great
children, and remain optimistic about hanging their dreams as high as the sky even
in difficult situations and conditions with the support of all components of
the nation.
