BENGKULU (June 4, 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Dharma Guna Bengkulu Center carries out the commemoration of the 26th National Elderly Day (HLUN) in 2022 with the theme "Strong Indonesia, Healthy Elderly". The activity took place at the Bengkulu City Old Town Tour by presenting 300 invitations and providing 175 packages of assistance for Bengkulu City Elders.

 

The series of activities carried out were healthy gymnastics with the elderly, an exhibition of the work of the Elderly from the Elderly LKS, health checks (blood sugar, cholesterol), blood donation, glasses checks, and distribution of ATENSI to 175 elderly in Bengkulu City and the provision of hearing aids (ABD).

 

This activity invited the Muspida of Bengkulu Province, namely the Governor of Bengkulu Province, Mayor of Bengkulu, Provincial Social Office, City Social Office, Provincial Baznas, Social Welfare Activists and Institutions, Social Welfare Companions, District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK), and the elderly who are well recorded in LKS as well as in the family system in Bengkulu City.

 

We give our appreciation to the Dharma Guna Bengkulu Center which has organized the 2022 National Elderly Day (HLUN) activity in Bengkulu Old Town, we continue to inspire the elderly to stay productive in life, don't close themselves off, always be happy and continue to worship, said the Head of the Social Office of Bengkulu Province, Iskandar Zo in his speech.

 

Likewise, the Head of Bengkulu Dharma Guna Center, Masitotu Mulja, expressed his gratitude to all elements involved in the success of the 2022 National Elderly Day (HLUN) event, both from Muspida and sponsors who helped organize this activity, he said during an interview with the media crew.

 

The success and smooth running of the 2022 HLUN activities may be our momentum together to protect and fulfill the rights of the elderly and view the elderly as one of the assets for the progress of the nation so that they remain productive.
