BENGKULU (July 22, 2020) - The Bengkulu “Dharma Guna” Mental Center is a Technical Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs that carries out social rehabilitation for People with Mental Disabilities. By implementing the New Normal arrangement, Center re-implements the acceptance of Beneficiaries (PM) after temporarily stopping the acceptance process due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
An important step that must be done before PM receives various social rehabilitation activities is orientation activities. This aims to make it easier for PMs to adjust to the Center, able to understand the feelings and opinions of others and appreciate differences, and so that PMs are able to express themselves in a way that is acceptable to the environment.
Located in the Education Center Building, the activity was opened by the Head of Sub-Division of Administration, HarisSulianto who represented the Head of the Center accompanied by the Section Head of Social Rehabilitation Services, Joko Juniarto and the Section Head of Social Assessment and Advocacy, Kartika Ari Pratama. The activity was attended by 11 PM.
In his directive, Joko reminded all PMs to always follow all applicable activities and rules as a learning process before returning to the community.
Having different backgrounds and psychological problems, making Social Workers, Psychologists and Nurses as presenters must be more creative and innovative in packaging orientation activities so that PM can participate in activities with enthusiasm and the orientation goals can be achieved.
The material given in the orientation activity is Introduction to Center Programs and Services, Cultivation of Character and Self-Concept, and Personal and Environmental Health.
